I must say I’m so lucky Anissa was with me during my labor. She was my assistant midwife for my second child and my friend and midwife for my third. I thought she was terrific the first time around but I had no idea how much so until my third. I’ll never forget her faith in me at the height of labor. She was my strength as I pushed that baby out and finally into my arms. He is with me now and it is because of people like Anissa that I can hold him so.
